Well done to everyone that performed at this evenings celebrations of the Healthy Culture project.
‘Healthy Culture’ is an arts and health based project designed to boost the health and wellbeing of people living across Leicester, Leicestershire and beyond. The project explored everything from diet, exercise and relaxation to alcohol, drugs and smoking, whilst thinking about art, culture and the role of healthy social networks in preserving wellbeing.
The project was led by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT), directed by Arts in Health Coordinators Lydia Towsey and Tim Sayers, funded by NHS England.
The Look-A-Lady-Ukulele Ladies performed at this evenings celebrations along with a number of other groups including Showcase Smoothie.
The event took place at Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicestershire and there is also a ‘Helathy Culture’ publication which includes poems, drawings and handy info designed to help you maintain and improve your health and wellbeing. Be sure to check it out.
